Ed Pettitt is on a mission to cool down Houston's urban core! 
 
"Houston's heat problem is everyone's problem," says Pettitt, president of the Rotary Club of Houston Skyline and a doctoral student in urban planning and environmental policy. "By addressing urban heat islands, we're taking a crucial step toward a cooler and more equitable future for our city."
 
With temperatures soaring, especially in low-income areas like the Third Ward, Pettitt's work highlights the urgent need for action. Through education and advocacy, he's striving to cool down the city and create a more equitable future for all. What local environmental issues would you like to tackle?
