District 5890 Rotary Youth Exchange is recruiting high school students, 15-18 1/2, to participate in our short-term and long-term youth exchange program.
Rotary International is an international service organization that began in 1905 to help business leaders support and build their communities. The Youth Exchange program began in 1929 with only a few participants and now over 9,000 students spend their summer or live and attend high school in a foreign country every year.
Our youth exchange program is administered by fully vetted and trained volunteers. We exchange with international Rotary districts many who we've worked with for several years. We hope you will take a few moments to read about our program and help us advertise the information sessions using the attached flyer.
You can go to our website and find great descriptions of our long-term and short-term programs as well as testimonials by students, host families, and volunteers. A powerpoint is also attached to answer some of your questions: www.ryehouston.com
Rotary International also has great information about the Youth Exchange Program as well: www.rotary.org
Please help us get the word out - We'd like interested students, teachers, and community members to attend one of our information meetings.
