Huge THANK YOU to all that gave of their time to come and to our Imagine Rotary Presidents that answered the call to get their clubs there. We had a large number represented and I think that a great time was had by all from the longhorn picture opportunity; to checking out the wonderful exhibit booths; to visiting with each other; and of course hearing the inspirational speeches from our Zone Director and incoming Rotary International Vice President Pat Merryweather-Arges and Rotary International President Elect Gordon McInally.
We got to honor our special donors that had achieved milestones at the reception beforehand and as a reminder to all, the White Hat Society which is a special recognition for donating at least $5,000 in a Rotary Year, is only tracked through self reporting to PDG Bill Palko as he does not get a report that provides that level of detail. If you did not hear your name called, please share prior to the District Conference and we will definitely make sure to recognize you there. If you were not able to attend, please join me in congratulating our very own Wayne Beaumier of the Rotary Club of Cypress-Fairbanks who was selected for the prestigious Service Above Self Award this year. Each year there are only 150 Rotarians awarded this special recognition worldwide. Wayne, you are a true servant in so many more ways than just Rotary, but we are very honored to have you as a part of our family. Thank you for all that you do so selflessly. We will honor you with the actual award at District Conference since I managed to leave that behind in my hotel room. You deserve to be honored twice!
