Connecting and Mentoring Our Multiple Generations of Leaders
Rotary is an organization of successful professionals. Team-building, fundraising, public speaking, planning, organization, and communication are just some of the leadership skills that club members can exercise and enhance. Being a Rotary leader provides further experience in motivating, inspiring, and guiding others. Experienced leaders mentor the next generation of leaders, and those younger generation of leaders provide reverse mentorship in return.
Rotary is committed to Diversion, Equity, and Inclusion, and we firmly belief that DEI should be part of everything we do at Rotary. Exemplifying and embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion is in line with our value of integrity in our journey as a global organization.
END POLIO NOW!
In 1985, Poliomyelitis was crippling 500,000 children each year and was in 125 countries. Today, thanks to Rotary, polio exists in 2 countries and the cases are down to 2 cases in 2021, but we won't stop until it is ZERO cases!
Polio is a highly infectious disease that most commonly affects children under the age of 5. The virus is spread person to person, typically through contaminated water. It can attack the nervous system, and in some instances, lead to paralysis. Although there is no cure, there is a safe and effective vaccine – one which Rotary and our partners use to immunize over 2.5 billion children worldwide.
Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 30 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever. Visit www.EndPolio.org to learn more, and donate to help END POLIO NOW!Conflict & Violence Displaced More Than 68 Million People Last Year...Half Were Children!
As Rotarians, we refuse to accept conflict as a way of life. Rotary peace projects provide training that fosters understanding and provides communities with the skills to resolve conflicts. Through our service projects, peace fellowships, and scholarships, our members are taking action to address the underlying causes of conflict, including poverty, inequality, ethnic tension, lack of access to education, and unequal distribution of resources.
