We invite you to Make a Difference by volunteering at Houston-area Rotary & Rotaract projects!  Rotary brings together a global network of volunteers who dedicate their time and talent to tackle the world’s most pressing humanitarian challenges. We use our knowledge of local issues to identify areas of need, then apply our expertise and diverse perspectives to solve the problem. Our Rotary members are most likely at work in your community right now feeding the hungry, tutoring children, helping our veterans, maintaining parks, and more.

Change your community with us by volunteering on a local project. Turn your passion for change into action through Rotary. Uniting with your fellow club and local community members will foster good will and relationships.
 
There are projects that directly impact lives.  
~ Converting a vacant lot in Houston's 3rd Ward into a Community Chess Park
~ Transforming a pond at the local community center by planting native plants 
~ Organizing a food & baby supplies collection then delivering to families in need
~ Packing 30,000 servings of food for "Rise Against Hunger" 
~ Volunteering to make home repairs on senior citizen's homes
~ Packing "Care Packages From Home" for LOCAL US military serving overseas in harm's way
~ "Ringing the Bell" to help The Salvation Army, and more!

Clothes For Kids Project by Seabrook Rotary Club on August 22, 2026 
8 AM to Noon

 

After 15 years of Seabrook Rotary expanding Clothes for Kids in December, we have decided to add CIA (Clothes in August)! We have invited Bay and Robinson Elementary to help us kick off CIA with 30 kiddos, each!
 
120 shoppers are needed!
 
We need volunteer shoppers. The kids’ parents are not invited. This is all about the kids. If you are going to be in the Clearlake area on August 22nd and want to help some kids shop for school clothes, Sign up and bring friends!

Houston Skyline Rotary "Caring Through Crafts" Project
August 22, 2026 - 9 AM to Noon
  at First Methodist Church-Humble, Fellowship Hall
800 E Main Street, Humble
Come join Houston Skyline Rotarian Sharon Taylor and her craft group at First Methodist Church in Humble for their 4th Saturday service through crafts morning. The service project will take place in the Fellowship hall on their campus.

We will be continuing the work we did in November with our crocheting plastic bags into sleeping mats, no knowledge of crochet is necessary as we need hands to prepare the yarn as much as we need hands to crochet the mats!

This is a wonderful opportunity to come and do good with our community to make tomorrow better than today by creating lasting impact!
 
 
 
 
Rotary Peace Tower Reveal and Community Peace Walk -

While this isn't a service project, it will be a very special event to attend to learn more about Rotary.
 
The North Shore Rotary Club is installing a Peace Tower to recognize the work that Rotary does on a local and global basis to promote Peace.  
 
It's a great chance to meet Rotarians and learn more about their commitment to peace in their community, and around the world!
 
 
"Books For The World" International Project
Volunteer Dates for 2026-2027:
Saturday (2026): Sept 12, Oct 3, Oct 24, Nov 14, and Dec 5
Saturday (2027):  Jan 16, Feb 6, Feb 27, Mar 20, Apr 10, May 1, May 22, and June 12
 
Giving books a "second wind" by shipping them from schools in Houston and throughout Texas to schools & libraries in 24 Countries!
This project rescues books that were destined to be shredded and sent to landfills but now are shipped - free of charge - to schools in economically challenged countries that don't have books for students!
Guerrero Eye & Dental Clinic in the State of Chihuahua, Mexico
Started by the Rotary Club of Brazosport, the Guerrero Clinic provides free eye & dental care to indigent people in the City of Guerrero, State of Chihuahua, Mexico.  We hold a Spring, Summer and Fall Clinic each year.
